Money and Mental Health Survey

A major new study into the financial experiences of those with mental health conditions or illness is being conducted by the Money and Mental Health Policy Institute, a new organisation set up by Martin Lewis of Money Saving Expert to break the link between money problems and mental illness.

The correlation is clear: half of those in debt crisis have a mental health problem while those with mental health conditions are 4 times as likely to have problem debt as the rest of the population. However the complex causality involved is under-explored, and this survey is the first step in unpicking the problem so we can start to solve it.

The survey is completely anonymous. It is open to all those with experience of a mental health problem or mental distress, whether diagnosed and/or treated or not.
